Meet Meg


Meg Treat, APR is a public relations consultant, entrepreneur, and educator.

As the owner and principal of Treat Public Relations, Meg utilizes her robust knowledge of and experience in strategic communication to help brands tell stories that create rich connections and communities. Meg specializes in serving the endurance sports event industry.

Dedicated to developing the next generation of PR practitioners, Meg engages with students and young professionals as a teacher and a mentor. She is a limited-term lecturer at Purdue University, where she teaches for the Brian Lamb School of Communication.

Meg is a Purdue alumna, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Rhetorical Advocacy, a Master’s degree in Communication, and a certificate in Strategic Communication Management all from the home of the Boilermakers.

Meg serves on the board of directors for the Orange County chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. She is Accredited in Public Relations.

She is an avid endurance athlete whose running resume includes five full marathons and a 31-mile ultra marathon. Meg currently resides in Orange County, California with her husband Andrew and cats Kailua and Lanikai.
